Department Description:
The mission of the Industry Solution Development team is to build, deliver and support demonstration environments for use by our solution engineers (SEs) at Salesforce. These demonstration environments incorporate the latest product capabilities that Salesforce has to offer. This team provides the baseline demo tooling that SEs need to deliver a best practice Industry-focused demo, while enabling SEs to scale, innovate, and succeed.

Role Description:
We are looking for an individual to become a part of our demo team, sharing development responsibilities across multiple industry products. In this role you would collaboratively be responsible for the design, architecture, and configuration of multiple demo environments from requirement to release, leading all aspects of the full delivery lifecycle including solution design, configuration, custom development, testing and release certification. Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies, and knowledge of product management principles.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce platform development, including declarative and programmatic methods
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code, CumulusCI, SFDX/SF, command line interfaces.
  • Experience working with source-control tools, including Github
  • Proven collaboration skills with the ability to work with, and lead, large implementation teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills; comfortable receiving feedback from, and addressing, executive leaders.
  • Critical thinking with a clear product vision and deep Industry insights.
  • Technical capability to understand data models, system integration, data migration, and how to implement Salesforce.
  • Ability to recruit and lead a multi-functional team to accomplish project goals.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • A related technical degree required.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in pre-sales, Salesforce Implementation, or Salesforce Administration.
  • Experience developing with relevant programming languages such as Apex, Javascript, and Python.
  • Salesforce certifications - Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1, industry-specific Consultant, additional developer specialization (Slack, AWS...).


Roles and Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Handle end-to-end development lifecycle, including assessing the product backlog, estimating effort based on requirements, and coordinating testing to insure all releases meet expectations.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with front-end designers and back-end developers for major release updates.
  • Architect and deliver declarative and programmatic solutions built for scale and ease-of-reuse

Technical Support:

  • Design and coordinate rigorous quality-assurance and testing of all new features, applying automated test frameworks (i.e. Robot, Selenium) where possible.
  • Collaborate with designated SE collaborators to receive and implement feedback.
  • Certify features work in a deployed Salesforce environment prior to official release.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Actively engage with team members, including SEs, SE Leaders, and stakeholders globally, to gather insights and cultivate collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with the SE team to understand customer needs and challenges, enhancing the overall comprehension of the context.
  • Meet regularly with product management to understand upcoming product roadmap, impact on existing demo environment landscape, and overall release strategies for new features
  • Take ownership of live demo assets, create and maintain demo enablement assets, and effectively communicate demo release updates.

In-depth Industry & Product Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the product architecture, capabilities, and limitations.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
