About the Role

The Wholesale Account Executive will play a pivotal role in spearheading the growth of WSI Global Wholesale division. Building off our existing relationship and the wholesale growth potential you will create a proactive strategy of expansion for the WSI portfolio of brand including West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and William Sonoma across a larger network of aligned markets and retailers. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in wholesale management, a deep understanding of the home industry, and an unwavering commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices. You will create and implement the WSI wholesale playbook to develop, scale, and optimize partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Wholesale Strategy, Planning, and Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and ensures the ambitious growth of the wholesale division.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify key opportunities and prospects for expansion in the wholesale market.
  • Be fully responsible for our wholesale business including margins, operations, partners' satisfaction, and merchandising for an optimal consumer experience.
  • Oversee responsibility of effectively managing all wholesale accounts, maximizing growth, and exceeding targets.

Relationship Management:

  • Continually strengthen and grow our existing commercial relationship. Oversee and develop a relationship with our clients' cross-departmental teams, building on the momentum of interest
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with all future wholesale partners, ensuring a positive and collaborative relationship.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with wholesale accounts to maximize profitability and maintain brand integrity.
  • Co-create and curate the WSI brands consumer experience in-stores and online with wholesale partners.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Align with Global Leadership on annual sales targets and implement strategies to achieve and exceed them.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective management of wholesale accounts and continuous identification of new business opportunities.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the WSI brands cross functional teams to ensure alignment between wholesale and brand/global strategies.
  • Provide insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Implement sales funnel tracking software, processes, and dashboards for clear and concise real-time reporting of sales funnel progression and orders.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare monthly reports, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Partner with planning and inventory teams to effectively manage wholesale inventory position

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of directly relevant sales experience, Furniture/Home industry preferred
  • A proven track record of driving meaningful sales growth
  • A passion for furniture and interior design
  • Proficient in inventory management and forecasting
  • An understanding of global market and the ability to grasp the cultural and commercial nuances
  • Strategic planning and competitive analysis abilities
  • Retail math fluency
  • The ability to build relationships -- both with cross functional internal partners and external
  • The ability to effectively manage concurrent and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent proactive, solution oriented, problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers/clients/business partners and build strong relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include Power Point, Outlook, and Excel

The expected starting pay range for this position is $118,000-$130,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
