As the Site Merchandising Assistant, you will be the bridge between tactical execution and strategy. This role supports the Site Merchandising manager in maintaining best in class site category standards & data-driven optimizations. These two businesses are key to new customer acquisition and overall growth of the West Elm brand. Duties will include execution in support of site maintenance, user-testing the site for enhancements and accuracy, and content integration. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator with multiple cross-functional teams and problem solver with an ability to motivate and rally teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage execution of attribution, mapping product to categories, & page ranking strategy
  • Maintain seasonal launch files and creative briefs for both microsites
  • Support manager by performing regular site QA and elevating site issues and opportunities
  • Participate in weekly site testing to ensure correct presentation and product data integrity
  • Communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across buying, operations, inventory, and creative teams to ensure operational excellence for all site updates
  • Suggest taxonomy ideas for categories on a seasonal / evergreen basis based on competitive analysis
  • Partner with manager to understand site metrics for optimization within shop path or search, relating to user behavior, product selling, customer profiles, and merchandising data.
  • Prioritize multiple projects including regular seasonal drops, short term sprints, and long-term enhancements to ensure site merchandising timelines are met
  • Support in the rollout of new processes that will contribute better team communication and project documentation

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years eCommerce experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • PowerPoint skills
  • Experience using web content management systems preferred
  • Experience with web reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics is also helpful
  • This role requires being onsite in the New York office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
