Job Description

In order to be considered for this position candidate must be serving permanently in the title of Management Auditor Trainee, or have taken, passed, and be reachable on the open competitive civil service list for Management Auditor Trainee Exam #1106, or be eligible under the 55a program.

As part of Vision Zero, the Automated Enforcement Unit oversees the red light, speed, mobile speed, fixed bus lane, mobile (MTA) bus lane, and Weigh in Motion violation issuance and is seeking to hire two capable, confident, and dedicated Management Auditor Trainees who will report to the Auditing Supervisor. The Management Auditor Trainees will participate in internal audits by performing detailed and specific internal reviews, verifications, and monitoring of the current Automated Enforcement vendors' work to ensure that all the events that are captured on the 2700+ enforcement cameras are being sent to the NYCDOT for review and processing. On average, NYCDOT receives 35,000+ events per day which are reviewed by NYCDOT processors for approval or rejection. If approved, the events become violations which are sent to the registered owner of the vehicles with associated fines. The rejected events must be reviewed to determine if the vendor is providing all of the necessary information regarding the rejection reason to the NYCDOT. The successful candidates' work will entail reviewing photographs and videos captured from the enforcement cameras citywide, and deciding if the contractor's rejection was proper and if the violation should've been sent to DOT.
