Job Description
Client Summary:

Summary of Need:
  • Schedules patients for examinations.
  • Receives & explains to the patients on ultrasound procedure; answers all related questions as required.
  • Obtains clinical data prior to examinations; consults with Physician regarding patient history and to determine appropriate action.
  • Prepares patient for ultrasound examination, performs the procedure and communicates results of diagnostic examination to the Physician.
  • Assists in the selection of software and imaging parameters, has knowledge in equipment positioning; returns equipment to its original location after each procedure.
  • Develops results, and is responsible for the quality of scans.
  • Monitors patients status during procedure and reports changes to appropriate staff.
  • Maintains equipment and performs diagnostic testing, when needed.
  • Effectively uses & has prior knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 2 year High risk obstetrical Ultrasound experience.
  • RDMS Registered
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. BLS preferred.

Shift/Schedule:
  • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Length:
8 weeks
